A Crown of Fire, a Throne of Blood (ASOIAF/GOT/SW) SI/OC merged with Viserys (2024)

Scouting all of Westeros, probably not doable at this time.

Sending someone to ask Ned Stark if he has any information about what happened to his sister's child, OTOH would be a lot easier, as it is the obvious place to start looking.

Also telling Ned that the ice zombies are coming and that he should fix the wall.

That will be happening once he has someone reliable who isn't needed in Slaver's Bay is available to send. Ideally, with a whole naval squadron of reliable people, so they can go to the wall and offer the Night Watch a bunch of treasure and supplies to release Maester Aemon if he's still alive. There's trusting people with ships, then there's trusting people with ships with holds full of treasure on a voyage to the Wall and back....

People need to realize that Viserys is going to conquer two continents. Even if he was mad enough to want to manage that on his own, and he is not Veil hates ruling actually, why in the world would not he want someone that does share his blood, even if distantly ( assuming fan theory born of community spite has any truth to it ).

Yeah basically, what does Viserys give a damn about Aegon's blood? Sure it changes the question of who is rightful heir, but seriously: Aegon is smart, well trained, well educated, loyal to the cause of the Targ bloodline and above all else: An honestly good young kid loyal to his friends and supporters.

I never understood the hatred seen in so many FFs against him, I guess it's because Varys...but yeah seriously Aegon is not Varys.

Indeed! Veil has had a taste of rulling and knows that most of the time it is a sh*t job that needs doing, not something glamorous you actually want to do. It is much better to be the power behind the throne. What he will want is a stable-ish government with people to do most of the day-to-day ruling for him, so delegation is the name of the game in the long run.

Besides, Viserys lacks traumatic memories or clear reasons to hate the Blackfyres himself, because as noted, they kept losing and were not responsible for the fall of his family or exile. Young Griff will raise or fall on his own merrits and those of the people who taught him everything he knew. Bloodright won't matter when Viserys goes for the Iron Throne due to his intent for Second Conquest. If Young Griff wants the throne, he's free to raise an army, support and try to take it.... then he'll have to content with Viserys when he is ready to invade. And if Aegon is competent, smart and cares more about family, than running off to try and get himself killed going after the Iron Throne by himself, he can go far, perhaps even end up running Westeoros for Viserys. Or he might end up running a chunk of Essos if that's more to his liking.

Visy will have to hold and keep Southern Essos and some parts of middle Essos and Head toward Western Essos where the slaver City states are gonna be probably the immediate threat to his existence...

The Northern parts of Essos are the Calvary of the screaming Dokti while the magicks of Yi-Ti and the Eastern Essos Magical City-States will cause their own grief levels that conquering Essos will either probably take time and convert any areas under his future dominion likewise, meh???

Depending on how politics turn up, conquering the western parts of Essos might be a necessary stepping stone for launching an invasion of Westeros. Dealing with the Dothraki for good might be a work of a few generations, and until then, they are likely going to be a pest that Viserys will have to harden his realm against and keep significant forces in place to fend off.

Unless he's provoked, going for Qohor, Norvos and Pentos might be a stretch too far. By the time he has Volantis on his side one way or another, Viserys will be aiming at the Stepstones and Dorne and planning on how to make the logistics of invading Westeros work. Because throwing an army at Westeros without a secure supply chain is not going to happen. That's how armies go to die.

That's true - it's ultimately up to Viserys and Daenerys what happens to Young Griff, and it will depend on the boy, and how he has been taught, so his teacher and guardian too.

Bringing back the Valyrian Freehold, without slavery will be a big statement that divides Essos and garners support moral and otherwise. Proclaiming an Empire in Essos, that has some unfortunate connotations considering what happened to the last so-called Emperor.

I mean isn't he going to declare a New Valyrian Freehold? I could see him dissolving the Iron Throne and just incorporating them into his nascent empire, he even has the claim for the Freehold too since he's the last patriarch of the last family from the 40.

Viserys is will still need to delegate to people to run directly large chunks of his new Freehold. Unless he wants to fly all over the place to put out fires and deal with everything himself, which he absolutely doesn't want to do.

That's true - nothing is set in stone, realities on the ground, political and military necessities will change things up. Viesrys Second Valyrian Freehold will evolve as time progresses and his realm expands.

The clean break is that Viserys is going for a Second Conquest of Westeros so it doesn't matter if Aegon or Jon Snow are true and legitimate. He won't be sitting on a throne there or taking over because his blood right as a legitimate claimant of the Iron Throne but through conquest. And by the time he's done with Westeros, the place will look quite different politically.

The more successful Viserys is in his project for a Second Freehold, them more support he'll get in certain corners of Essos and more divided the people of various cities will be, and that by itself will be a great boon going forward.

You know if Aegon the infant had any revealing birthmarks young Viserys would know. Specific moles in places... Well he'd be the only one to declare it or not.

That might be one way to confirm if Young Griff is true or not.

Martin intentionally played fast and loose with distances and travel times, so I am going with rough travel times, not how fast technically such distances should be crossed.

From Astapor to Yunkai is about six days of hard riding, with half to third of that travel time between Yunkai and Meereen. The distance between the first two should be around 320+ miles, about 512 km. So around nine days of normal ridding and it does pan out about six days of hard ridding. Fresh horses might not be available with hostile raiders running around.

Ironborn ships shouldn't be that fast, otherwise Vicarion's journey to Slaver's Bay should have been much faster, taking a few weeks not months. Viserys traveled on a fast warship from Pentos to Astapor, under nearly ideal conditions, and it took him months to get there. Sailing between Astapor, Yunkai and Meereen should still take a few days at the least, not be an overnight journey taking little more than a day.... and that's discounting having to deal with hostile fleets and squadrons.

While Viserys can deal with such threats, his output so to speak can be reduced significantly for prolonged periods of time after he goes all out. And he will have to go all out, especially during the first round of wars.

I'll be answering the other posts later when I have the time.
