Three boys, aged 9, 12 and 13, were charged with breaking and entering and with destroying about $30,000 worth of property, according to city police. A police spokesman said he did not know whether any of the three was a pupil at the Albemarle County school, which is located in the city. Because they are juveniles, authorities would not release their names. Damage at the school was discovered Monday morning and was so extensive that Rose Hill's 280 pupils were moved to another school for classes. Dozens of windows were smashed, desks and bookcases overturned, paint splattered on desks and floors and light fixtures smashed.

Damage was estimated at $25,000 to $35,000. Yule Donations Pass $7,200 Additional donations to the Christmas Mother fund bring the total to more than $7,200. An Emporia woman filed suit against the U.S. government yesterday, saying her shoulder was broken and her hip was crushed when she was thrown from a revolving door at the Capitol. Annabelle Lamm Mustard was injured May 8 in the secondfloor door in the Senate wing of the building, according to the suit filed in U.S. District Court in Richmond. The suit said that she was struck from behind by one of the door panels and knocked about 12 feet into a marble column.

The suit also says, without further elaboration, that Ms. Mustard entered the door "accompanied by Senator John Warner and others." A spokesman for Warner said she knew nothing of the incident and was unable to obtain any information late yesterday. Ms. Mustard's suit accuses the federal government of negligently failing to keep a safe revolving door, specifically alleging that safety friction strips on the door had been worn down. The suit, which says she will continue to incur medical expenses, seeks $250,000.
